Elisa says: Being the prairie is where I do a lot of my photography, I thought this one was a good choice [to show biodiversity]. A black tailed prairie dog (front) and burrowing owl (behind) share a prairie dog tunnel system. So many species are dependent on the keystone prairie dog - rabbits, snakes, burrowing owls, black footed ferrets, raptors, coyotes, badgers, fox... the list goes on and on. It's hard to get a photo of all of them in, of course, but I'll take two!
