Jason says: This image of the annual spring migration of Snow Geese at Freezeout Lake reminds of me of the importance of our wetland habitats around the world and the biodiversity they provide. Hundreds of thousands of Snow Geese and other migrating species rely on the protection, food sources and nesting sites on these important areas. Many species of birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects create a complex network of life in our wetlands.
