Patricia says: This was taken in my back yard. My first viewing of her was in early spring when she appeared as the sun was going down. She looked to be to be very malnourished and scraggly. When I examined the photo I took at that time by zooming in on the computer, I could see that she was sporting porcupine quills on her face and chest. It looked bad for her and I didn't see her for a while after that. Subsequent viewings were fleeting but I was happy that she seemed to pull through. A very happy moment when I took this shot and could see that she was flourishing with good body weight and a beautiful coat. You can't help becoming attached to the wildlife you photograph, especially when you see one particular animal more than once.
